Nordsee GmbH (own spelling: NORDSEE ) (formerly Nordsee Fischspezialitäten GmbH ) operates a fast-food restaurant chain under the name Nordsee, focusing on fish and seafood . It originated from the fresh fish trade , which was supplemented by salads and fish sandwiches (e.g., with fish cakes as Bremer ). Grilled, steamed, and fried fish, fish nuggets, and similar snacks as well as wraps were later added to the range. Nordsee was founded on April 23, 1896, in Bremen by a group of Bremen shipowners and merchants under the leadership of shipowner Adolf Vinnen (1868–1926) as the German Steam Fishing Company Nordsee . They went fishing in order to be able to offer fresh fish to people in the inland areas as quickly as possible and opened the first Nordsee restaurant in Bremen in the same year. The German Steam Fishing Company Nordsee was based in Nordenham , where the company leased land from the state of Oldenburg and built a fishing port. Decent seafood at fair prices Open tables and seating are available for customers. There are no restrooms on site but located at areas in the mall. Regular Nordsee Store. Friendly staff, kids options and chairs. Nice house made Limonade. Good fish selection. Sometimes a bit crowded, but normally not a long wait. Check it out, if you are into fish.

Located on the ground floor of City Arkaden Wuppertal, Nordsee is situated among several other restaurants. While we didn’t purchase any food, the store appeared clean, well-organized, and well-maintained from the outside.
